Wave Race: Blue Storm Preview #2
Wave Race is now out in Japan, but don’t expect anything spectacular…it’s just a souped up version of what couldn’t be accomplished on the Nintendo 64, but is now possible on the GameCube.
The water graphics are unreal, and are among the finest ever water physics. When weather patterns change, with frequent regularity, the water takes on different forms. The water can be either a violent storm with twisting waves or a calm, peaceful lake without a wave in sight! It is truly a site to behold.
Wave Race now features more courses, more tracks, basically more of everything. There are now around 10 playable characters, as well as whole new levels, plus some added bonus ones. There is also a whole new variety of tricks and some incredible stunts that you can pull off.
All in all, it’s classic Wave Race. NST isn’t breaking any new ground or expanding the genre they basically created. If you loved the first Wave Race, but longed for more, than Blue Storm is the answer to your dreams. This game is already out in Japan, and expect it to launch with the GameCube on November 18.
