Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 2

This is it, for all of you Star Wars fanatics, the Star Wars series is set to make an appearance on Gamecube, with Factor 5 taking the honor this time of “continuing the saga”.
RS2 is set to bring you a completely new Star Wars experience. By the looks of it, it looked way too realistic and in-depth to be nothing except another working Gamecube title, which, I might add, was running all in real-time, on the Gamecube’s hardware. I might also add that the graphics look spectacular, and the game play is right alongside it. Here’s a rundown of what was seen at Spaceworld 2000:
An X-Wing was engaging the enemy (TIE fighters) around the Death Star, while busyily avoiding blasts from nearby ships. At the end of the demo, the X-Wing was last seen heading into a tunnel that lead to the center of the Death Star.
Judging by the game play, RS2 had a very large area to fly around, and there wasn’t a hint of choppiness on any spacecraft, or any slowdown. I’m fairly confident that this will be on Gamecube (hopefully around November 2001). Factor 5 is also considering online capabilities as well. Maybe you can gather a clan of fellow gamers and destroy the Death Star, or…the possibilities are just endless. Gamequbed will bring you more information on RS2 as it becomes available.
