Introduction
It has been a while since Nintendo gamers had the chance to hit the slopes and race their mates down a cyber slope of fun, however gone are the days when SSX are the only games to offer boarding action on the cube as Nintendo will soon have 1080 Avalanche.
Due for release this winter (UK release November 28th) a next generation boarder in all sense of the word will litter the shelves of your local GAME store and provide you with a unique gaming experience unrivalled on any console. 1080 Avalanche will be a MUST HAVE game and I am sure will be one of the biggest games of 2003. So get your passports ready, pack your winter clothes and listen up for the complete game info we have to offer. The first 3-D snowboarding racing game, the original 1080° Snowboarding, created the genre with amazing visuals and spot-on controls.
Crystal Lake, Golden Forest, Deadly Fall and other slopes offered everything a boarder could want, from cool tricks to a perfect speed rush. It’s wintertime again and the snow’s never looked so good! Akari Hayami and Ricky Winterborn have rounded up an all new cast of characters to head back to the slopes for some high-speed competition.
Features include:
Race through realistic natural environments, complete with powder drifts, ice patches and groomed hardpack … but don’t get comfortable. You will have to contend with massive avalanches, rockslides, cave-ins, bridge collapses and environments teeming with wildlife and other skiers.
Experience the unique character-balancing system, which allows you to keep the on-screen character on his or her board. Take advantage of a deep trick system, which lets you flip, spin, grab, grind and tweak your way to glory.
