Resident Evil Early?
IGN reports that we (“we” being North America) could see a simultaneous release of the much anticipated Resident Evil (Gameucbe only) on March 22, 2001 in NA. It could either launch on this date in Japan and the U.S., or within a month or two of the release in Japan.
RE is a highly anticipated title, and thanks to their director, it is now a Gamecube exclusive title. It has climbed Japanese wanted lists and has helped curbed Nintendo’s image as a kiddy company. Capcom USA said it was still negotiating with its Japanese counterparts, and that they should have more information available within the coming weeks.
