Nintendo To Cut Zelda Bonus Discs?
Say it isn’t so! Rumors have been flying around that Nintendo will be cutting the preorder deal with The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (that is the free Ocarina of Time/Master Quest bonus disc) this is because many retailers, even larger chains like Target and Wal-Mart, started giving out the deals before the designated date, February 16th and some were even selling the disc alone (even though the back of the box was clearly marked with a “Not For Resale” sticker). Already by February 16th there was a total of 250,000 preorders/discs bought, and with this high of a demand, supply will become increasingly difficult for Nintendo.
Many still say, while most of all retailers are reporting a cancellation of the disc, that the deal is still going on and Nintendo will keep its word about continuing it until the end of March. For all of you who have not gotten the disc yet, and want to, you better race down to your nearest video game seller and hope for the best; this bonus disc may become one of the hardest things to get hold of ever, very, very quickly.
Wow, am I glad I got the LAST disc in BestBuy earlier this week…
