NES in Wind Waker!

NOTE: Media is missing

Wow, what a surprise this is. An NES which plays the original Zelda in The Wind Waker? It can’t be true. But it is.

This news broke earlier today from GameCube Advance that you can find a playable NES emulation of The Legend of Zelda by sailing around the Great Sea DURING THE DAYTIME and pulling up a certain treasure chest with your grapple hook. The hard part is, the spot where the treasure is changing every day and there is no Treasure Chart to tell you where it is exactly (or at least, we haven’t heard of one yet).

Inside is the chest is the NES which you can use to play The Legend of Zelda (I guess it comes with the game, what a sweet deal) or to transport your game to your Game Boy Advance via the Tingle Tuner (see, it has another use than to bring up an annoying fairy who yells at you to “WATCH OUT FOR THAT DEKU BABA!!!”). Still don’t believe? Take a look at this picture from an editor at GameCube Cafe (who has ACTUALLY gotten it, and I have spoken with him for verification):

But there’s no picture of The Legend of Zelda playing on The Wind Waker now is there? Well, we could’ve provided you with one, but it would look EXACTLY like if the game was playing on NES, since it is perfectly emulated.

As far as saving goes, your original Zelda adventure will save into your 12 block Wind Waker file and does not enlarge it whatsoever. But, if you take the game out on your GBA, you better not turn it off or everything you did from when you transfered it and on would be deleted. Don’t worry, you won’t drain your batteries, all you have to do is put Zelda into Sleep Mode and everything will be okay until you transfer it back onto your GCN and save.

Update: I have now found the NES myself, it only took a good hour to find and I found it a little northeast of Greatfish Island. With my experience there were many rings of light surrounding the area with the NES chest underneath, it shouldn’t be hard to miss once you find it. Mmm…emulated Zelda goodness. Keep looking, don’t give up!
