More Prices Slashes

Nintendo saw a great profit from the 33.3% price cut in America, so they decided to do the same in Europe. In Engand, the GameCube can be found for 79 Euros, and everyone else in Europe can find it for 99 Euros. That’s cheaper then the GameBoy Advance! The company quoted their reasoning for the price drop as making it so that “There’s never been a better time to buy a GameCube.”

On a side note, as I said, Nintendo saw a great profit on their newly outfitted, Just under $100 GameCube in America. On average, sales for any given week during August and September quadrupled for the week since the price drop occured… But Nintendo wanted to rub it in more, releasing two great facts:

  1. You can buy a GameCube and three games (Players Choice Titles of 20, 20 and 30 dollars [plus tax ]) for the Price of a PS2 ($180.)
  2. In August and September, the average console sales per week sold were 15,000. The week after the drop: 61,000.

Why Else has there never been a better reason to own a GameCube? We’ll Find that out tomorrow :) Or Just Look Below:
