Japan Getting Strong Q4 Software Lineup
Japanese Gamecube owners could be in for a treat this holiday season as Nintendo is starting to develop a very strong group of games to be released.
Confirmed releases so far include Mario Tennis in October, Kururin Squash!, a puzzle title, and in November the release of Mario Party 6. A very interesting note is that Mario Party 6 has been said to not require the use of a controller. It is thought that a new peripheral will be launched alongside the game that will be some sort of camera, possibly something along the lines of Sony’s EyeToy.
Other games that may be out in time for the holiday season in Japan are Star Fox 2, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, and Fire Emblem. However these games are yet to receive a set launch date and could be pushed back to the following year.
But those in the United States don’t panic yet, one game that is confirmed to be released for the Christmas season but won’t be out in Japan until sometime in 2005 is the highly awaited Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
