IBM Ships 10 Million

Acording to PGC, IBM announced they have shipped the 10-millionth “gekko” processor for the GC.

“The “Gekko” processor is GameCube’s main CPU, based on IBM’s PowerPC architecture. It’s powered by a 485MHz core and built with copper interconnects on an .18 micron process.”

Also, Nintendo has reported that they have sold 3.8 million GCs by the end of the 2002 fiscial year (March 30th). They also expect to sell 16 million by the next March 30th.
