Capcom Losing Money
Capcom, famed creators of the Resident Evil series, and many other hit games, has recently announced that they plan to lose 12.7 billion yen (approximately $103 million U.S.) for the fiscal year ending next March. This is a big difference from their initial proposal of about 3.8 billion yen.
Why, you ask? A spokesperson from Capcom themselves claims that this loss is due to being in debt 23.1 billion yen having to do with the company’s real estate.
With all this, it’s always possible for Nintendo to pick up Capcom as a second party developer. But there’s always a chance that Sony or Microsoft might jump in and swap Capcom.
