AOL Time Warner + NOA = ?

Nintendo announced today that it has reached an agreement with AOL Time Warner, making AOL the official preferred ISP (Internet Service Provider) of the GameCube. Developers interested in making online games will recieve GCN/AOL connectivity software which will allow them to connect online through AOL. All online Nintendo games will be made in the same manner, however, AOL is not necessary to connect to the internet through a GameCube; you just need to be able to get online.

Other specifics of the deal? AOL Broadband disks and offers may begin to appear inside GameCubes and/or GameCube games - which is great, because we all need more of those - and GameCube advertisements will appear on many AOL and AOL Time Warner sites. AOL Time Warner not only owns AOL, but also Warner Brothers.
