SD Digicard Adapter

What Nintendo has created is simply ingenious. Although you buy the regular save pak, there’s a little purple card being made by Panasonic that will allow you to store an extra 64 MB’s of data. It simply plugs in to your existing Digicard. This card will also become upgradeable to 128 MB’s of data. They can also be used for writing and rewriting data.

Modem

The modem serves one, and only one purpose…to connect you to the Internet and play with your friends online. Being made by Conexant, it is designed to work on any ISP and be consumer friendly, such as price. In the bottom left corner of your Gamecube, you simply fit it in to the provided space. Another main purpose the modem will serve is the ability for you to download digital content (images, videos, movies) from your fellow online buddies and straight to your save pak.

SD Digicard

The digicard will hold 4 MB’s of flash memory, and will feature the same N64 options sucb as saving and deleting data. By the way, it’s twice as large as the N64’s memory. The digicard is actually the gray plastic card shown, and the purple card fits snugly into it.

Broadband Adapter

For those of you who like living life in the fast lane, you can get more speed out of your system for a higher price. Again, it’s being developed by Conexant, and is intended for people with DSL and Cable access. There is no word yet on a price tag.

Wavebird

I think Nintendo took a step in the right direction with this one. They have created a wireless controller that is able to transmit from up to 10 ft. via RF to your Gamecube. It will also have a built in Rumble Pak, so there’s no need for the added expense!

Video In/Out Cables

These are different cables that can hook up to “special” TV’s for high quality image and sound. There is no word yet if there will be HDTV (High Definition Television) compatible cables for those who like to live life to the fullest.
