Old Games
As the dust piles up and your mother is screaming at you to clean your room. You uncover a few old games from under the bed that you thought your dog already ate by now. So what do you do? You can’t just throw them out. You remember all the great memories you had playing them and what’s the point of throwing them back under the bed so what do you do?
The best option is to go to electronics boutique and trade it in. When you trade it in you get store. credit. Store credit is given to you instead of money and can only be used right away. So you have to decide what you want before you come in. It can be used to buy anything you want in the store using the amount of store credit. So if you get $20 store credit you can only buy something for $20 or less. Is EB ripping you off? Yes and no. It really depends on your game. The older the game the less you get for it. My friend traded in a play station game and got a dollar for it. That really pisses people off. Then EB takes that game and sells it for $5. But it’s not always that bad. For a new game you can get $15. When you finish an RPG do you really want to start all over again? Trade it in before it’s to late. For the people like myself who have a Dreamcast I feel really bad for you. Face the facts that no new games are coming out. If you trade it in with you games you can get $70 or more. Now that’s better than nothing. Use that money to buy a Game boy Advance or a Gamecube.
Another great option is to sell it on Ebay. On Ebay its fun to watch people fighting over your games and someone always comes along. You can set the minimum bid to what ever you want to so you know you’ll be getting as much money as you want. What I recommend you do is sell them separately and not in bundle packs. But it’s not that easy. Don’t forget you also have to go to the post office, stand in line, and pay money for sending the game to someone you don’t even know across America. What if some one from Canada or even from the UK buys it. Now you even have to pay more money and these days who knows if it will ever pass the border. They’ll have dogs sniffing it all day to make sure it’s not a bomb.
Who said that you have to get ride off old games? The game that was under your bed all those years could now be worth $100! I remember a Playstation game that became very rare and was worth $100 in good condition. Some old RPGs for the NES and SNSE like final fantasy and Chrono trigger are very valuable and probably will be hard to find even on ebay. Even if they’re not so valuable some classics you just can’t let go of like the old Super Mario and the classic Duck Hunter. What I love to see is old games coming to life again. Like for example, Mario Advance. It really is a remake of the old super Mario with advanced graphics and better quality. Another one is Sonic advance witch is a remake of the sonic for geneses. Also you can see how the games evolve beginning with Mario Kart and then going to Mario Cart 64 and Mario Cart Advance. Overall I would just like to tell you that your old games may be worth more or less than you think.
